Yes Phil. But it's an odd time to be bemoaning Santa's demise when there is currently around 9 million sq. klm of sea ice (area) and about 11 million sq. klms (extent) around the North Pole. 2013-14 looks like it may well be the most NH ice in ten years.

I do hope no Greenpeace warriors get frostbite.

I think organizations like Greenpeace and PETA do some beneficial things, especially in helping the animals...but this is going too far, spare me all the drama!
