Nuclear energy, nuclear power plants in the world and the five deadliest disasters

Part 2 of 6 parts: The Chernobyl accident

If ambient radiation from the Chernobyl nuclear explosion was detected in Europe may or may not be true and if anybody in authority knows they are probably not confirming or denying it.

Chernobyl Accident 1986 - World Nuclear Association

Collateral damage: The most powerful OTHBR in the world was being powered by the Chernobyl power plant and the explosion damaged it beyond repair. It no longer had the ability to instantly detect ballistic missile launches anywhere in the world.

I worked with a Russian woman who visited that area shortly after the accident. We said maybe she shouldn't go there and her reply was that they said it was fine. The company was bought out shortly after that so I don't know how she fared.

I have always thought that the big Nuclear Electric
power stations are an overkill, there are submarines
and ships, that are driven by small plants, small cities
can be run using similar sized power sources, they
could be underground and easily protected,

Last year, or the one before, our Government asked
Rolls-Royce and another company, whose name I
can't remember to try and develop such a small nuclear
plant to us to produce electricity, for civilian use not
before time!
