NY through the Board Of Regents and a Betty Rosa will allow children of illegal immigrants who are not legal themselves to obtain teaching credentials and other licenses.

In the meantime while 90 million plus legal Americans qualified to work are unemployed. Also this Rosa called standardized testing "abusive" so I guess she doesn't like one set of rules.

So if a person is still learning English why are they even taking a test that requires it or is best if one understands it. Opt out.

Should add that the deferred action program being cited was blocked by a federal judge a year ago.

I have read that NY issues driver's licenses to illegal immigrants in a different color than ones issued to legal citizens. I just cannot comprehend this. Looking for a justifiable reason for illegal immigrants to receive privileges.

Political pandering for votes. Many in states like California and NY have illegal immigrants in their family or circle of friends. As a new legal citizen who went the legal route including study to become a legal US citizen or resident I would be insulted and furious that people were being given what I had to work for.

If a person can go through the process of becoming a teacher, lawyer etc why wasn't that time and energy spent becoming legal.
