Hugh Brannum​

American actor (1910-1987)​

Hugh Brannum played Mr. Green Jeans on the children's television show Captain Kangaroo from 1955 until 1984. Brannum, who was also known by the childhood nickname "Lumpy," was a versatile artist with a background in music, which he showcased through his character's musical performances on the show.

My grandson was born with eyes shaped a bit like Lee Van Cleef's. His father wondered from who did his son inherit that shape. I laughed to myself thinking "Lee Van Cleef". šŸ¤£

I didn't tell that to neither mother nor father. I don't think they knew of the actor. Now that my grandson's an adult, I might tell my daughter. She has a good sense of humor, BUT it is her son, so she may not see it as humorous. :unsure: :D

Oh, that's great. You have some wonderful viewing ahead of you. If you haven't seen it, you must watch Double Indemnity with Fred MacMurray, Barbara Stanwyck, and Edward G. Robinson. It's certainly top 3 noirs of all time. I've watched it 10+ times. It's even got a cameo shot of co-writer Raymond Chandler-- the only known instance of him on film.
