Oh, For The Good Ol' Days!

You just ain't old enough to remember the good ol' days, Phil. When I got my first car gas was usually 18 cents a gallon but price wars were pretty common so you could often get it cheaper. That was for Ethyl, regular was cheaper. There was no middle kind.

LOL! True, I'm not as old as some, but I'm also not as young as many!

In MY neighborhood, Ethyl was ALWAYS the cheapest ...

... although Blanche was pretty darned close.

I'm old enough to remember 0.18/gal gas and driving around all night after stopping in for a dollar's worth (sometimes only had .50) AND getting a clean windshield, oil checked, tires checked all with bunch of stamps for my mom...

*sigh*

OK, you win. :p:D
