I'm waiting excitedly to hear your stories of what you got for Christmas...big or small, or nothing at all... I wanna hear your stories of Christmas day !!:D:D

Firstly I got speaking to my daughter and son-in-law in Spain which would have been enough already as Christmas day is a manic working day for them...but I also got some top quality Car Mats for my Fusion...A lovely new case and glass screen protector for my iphone..and from my daughter, an ongoing subscription to my favourite magazine, and a set of silver key rings with my adored Grandfurbabies names engraved on them!! :D

My daughter & partner arrived just before midnight on Christmas eve, I'd have been happy just with that, but Santa brought me a pillow! :D it was a special pillow to ease neck and back pain. Can't tell if it worked yet as didn't sleep well last night because I overate at Christmas dinner! Skin cream from Morocco to help when afflicted with eczema, sealskin gloves to keep hands warm and dry, woolly socks......signs of the times I think LOL. I did get a lot of all sorts of gifts but couldn't help noticing the trend:tickled_pink:

I saw that you posted about your wife the other day Laurie, and I'm so sorry that your wife suffered such physical pain and you mental anguish because of it..I wish you both peace...

Yes, best wishes to those who are suffering. I got a foot massager from my lady companion. It is working wonders on my aging feet as we speak...

Wife and I got the Vivofit bracelets that keep track of: steps taken, calories used, sleep patterns, etc. It is also a watch. That's it.
Oh, from the kids, many gift cards: Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, Outback Rest. And Amazon gift card.
Other than going out to dinner, it was a quiet day.

Family came for the day [all day] tiring but lovely. Great presents , dvd's cd's books plants and a bit of nice jewellery.Oh and some Thorntons chocs.

Here it is. My son and his SO went to Pennsylvania and visited the coal mines. They brought me this beautiful tree rooted in a lump of coal.

Holly, it says, "Austrian lead crystal" then right under it, "Rose zircon." I'm not sure what that means.

Amazon gift card, a cute apron and a mini-vac for kitchen & hall floors. NO PERFUME :(

Hubby gave me a bottle of my favourite French perfume and my daughter gave me a collection of little gifts, the most appreciated of which is a plate that says
Some people see more in a walk on the beach than others see in a trip around the world.
I've very pleased with this gift because when the children were young we would spend time exploring the rock pools along the coast during our various vacations. My daughter is telling me that this time was special to her too.

From daughter: a new camera!!! So she remembered me posting on my FB way back mid-summer how I needed a better camera than my cell phone for hanging out in the park early mornings bird-watching (and catching one stray beaver down by the river and appreciating the color purple when flowers bloomed)! Nice camera and easy to use and she even remember my wanting a carrying strap so I could catch those birds quick before they flew off. Beaver was even faster.

From grandson: chocolate covered strawberries. Oh, yeah.

From myself: a special edition gift-box set of The Hunger Games trilogy they were promoting big time. I got a set for grandson and couldn't resist getting one for myself too because they were so beautiful. He was finally deemed old enough to watch the movies and loved them as much as I knew he would and as much as I do and he wanted to read the books. 2nd unexpected gift in that -- He proposed we have our own book club reading them simultaneously together then discussing them. Awesomeness!
