I just now ordered a new electric blankey from Amazon, may even get
it today....just cannot take the cold any more, my prior blanket got pitched
last year due to long use, getting thinner etc.....so I'm a wimp.......but at
least I'll sleep warm!!!! :D

Don't be silly now.. you're not a wimp for feeling the cold. Yoo're being sensible getting an electric blanket.

I'm the opposite, it has to be freeeeezing.. for me to feel the cold...which is a good thing given the high cost of our electricity and gas heating

Well Hawk, I guess I am as well, as I can't take cold any longer myself.

And I used to ride a motorcycle to work when the weather was in the 20's & teens.

We have very heavy quilts on our beds. At bed time my husband turns the three feet at the top back so he's sleeping under two layers of that quilt plus the sheet. I fold the quilt all the way down to the foot of the bed and just sleep under the sheet. It's a wonder we ever slept in the same bed.

Hey, don’t sweat it. I have a bed warmer that I turn on my side in the winter. My wife seldom turns her side on. She was raised and her mom would sometimes crack her bedroom window in winter.

You are not a wimp Hawkdon, simply a man who has some sense! :D Who wouldn't want to be warm and cozy on a cold night? How did you launder your electric blanket? I had one that I machine washed and it was never the same. It's long gone. I bought an electric throw and need to look at the instructions again as to how to clean it. I've barely had to use it because it gets really hot in here in winter unless the temps go well below freezing.

Ladies (I'm told) make very warm and cozy, cuddly blankets, but the downside is that they have freezers for feet.... am I in trouble? 😊
Hey, are you talking about my feet.

I start the night with a microwavable heater bag. Feet first and then back. If I’m cold in the middle of night, I have the electric heating pad on standby.

I have several old wool blankets. They will reappear soon.
