Old threads being brought back into the forums

I’ve noticed a few recently, how do you feel about this ?

Personally I enjoy reading them and, as we have a lot of new members who missed them the first time round, they have the opportunity to express their views

I enjoy a mixed bag of Threads. I joined SF for its Music Threads as Id been looking about for them and never found one that rang my bells but this one does and lots of good Threads on here to get my gnashers into with friendly folk

I like to see old threads revived, that's why I added "Google Custom Search" on every page, you can find relevant old threads very easily. But if one likes to start new threads, I'm completely fine with it too.

I have read a few of them but have not replied because on some forums some people get irked when they are brought back, they complain about the past being the past .....now if Matrix is fine with it then I am too

Sometimes it shocks me when I see an old familiar name or someone quotes a long lost friend's post but other than that it's fine with me, not much different than reading old magazines in a waiting room.

Old threads don't bother me. In fact, "old threads" are better than "no threads".

it does make me start a little bit if I see an old thread bumped up that was started by a member who died.., and the person who bumps it doesn't know and then addresses the question to the OP>.....

Grover has always been my fave, too. And he's now my grandchildren's favorite. (Baby shower gifts to them always include a small stuffed Grover.)

But getting back on topic, I've revived plenty of old threads. Never saw anyone whine about it - at least not to my cyber-face.

Old threads are great. We've already had a practice session, so our posts will be right on. And let's face it, what are the odds we will remember them.

I may have replied to old threads here. When you are new, you want to explore and see what other posts are here. I don't understand why someone would get annoyed by old threads coming up. Just don't go to it.

I get the same feeling looking at who was on the thread .... oh, where is so and so?? , etc. .. And it's a reminder of how quickly time goes by around here.

I'm not an "old-timer" on this forum so I really enjoy seeing threads that were posted before I joined.

Old threads are usually revived by new members. I don't mind them, sometimes I never saw the threads initially and missed posting on them. You also get to read and ''meet'' long gone posters.
