Oldest conjoined Twins Schappel Sisters die at 62

I think it would depend on what they shared . I have read of conjoined children being separated, if no vital organs were shared. My guess is that these ladies could not be separated. SO their systems shut down together, or within hour or so of each other,

I just finished watching a documentary about 2 conjoined sisters who were joined at the head . They were in the twenties and both their spines were twisting. They couldnā€™t sleep well at night. They decided to go for separation and both died within hours of each other. It was so sad. They both had law degrees and had become lawyers.

Thereā€™s another couple of conjoined twins who share an entire body. They look like a two headed woman but they seem extremely happy. They clearly canā€™t separate.

Probably the Hensel twins. They've lived a complete life and are teachers now. One of them just got married. That could be awkward.....

Yes one got married recently. Iā€™ve got all kinds of questions about that but shall mind my own business. These types of twins have such impeccable respect for each other. Itā€™s truly heart warming.

One of those young women (Abby & Brittany Hensel) just recently got married. Can't even imagine that.
 
Life is a Gift and it can be awful. May those sweet souls rest in peace.

I would choose separation or death every time. Being alive is about your soul individually, if you won't take the chance to be yourself. But that's just me. I would rather do the river current runs thru it than go thru years of total hell unhuman hell. The hatred, oh the hatred of it all.. It is incomprehensible to endure.

Abby & Brittany seem the happiest out of all of them. Separation seems impossible for them since they literally share an entire body.
They say they want to have a baby which is doable since they share everything below the waist. They got married last month.

I like to try to empathize with the characters in the story. This story involving this/these girl/s is beyond my ability to comprehend WHAT it would be like. Completely. I am at a loss to figure out how different these girls have it. Now, to be married, and likely have a child. Wow. I guess it will be hard for them to have much privacy.?

It would be impossible to have privacy for these two since they literally share an entire body below the waist but having privacy isnā€™t anything theyā€™ve ever known. They were born this way so donā€™t know anything else. They shower together and do everything together.

I realize they will never be able to go off in different directions and split their own bodies. :) I was thinking about the news about them. They will never lack for money. I wonder how much they are worth now.?

These two were able to have separate showers. One was a well known country singer. Their mother took them to an old folks home to live but the owners of the nursing home said they were plenty able to look after themselves . They rented a 2 bedroom apartment and slept in alternate rooms each night. One of them eventually related to being a man. They were the oldest conjoined twins. They died at 62.

Absolutely amazing. Like I said...it's beyond my being able to relate to. But there are very many things I lack the ability to relate to.

I agree 1 Mill, isn't very much. It is also something I can not relate to. :)
