One Suicide Every 40 Seconds

The World Health Organization says there is one suicide every 40 seconds. High Income nations have a slightly higher rate.

They say suicide is glamorized by celebrity suicide coverage.

Celebrities are over covered but I really don't see them glamourizing celebrity suicide. If nothing else they sometimes under report the actual circumstances. I don't think it's glamour to tell that someone died with a belt around their neck and failed to cut themselves enough with a pocket knife like Robin Williams did. Some people have simply had enough. There are reasons for terms like 'resignation', 'quit', 'good bye' or 'the end'. Sure there other choices and things that could be done but life is about the choices we make many with good reason and bad reason alike.
 

If assisted suicide is OK then surely suicide is also OK.
I happen to think both are a bad idea but other people think differently.
