This 3 day Police and Military exercise began yesterday April the 13th. It will last for 3 days. It involves the Toronto Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police, the RCMP, the Canadian Armed Forces, and one US Army helicopter squadron. NO US Army troops will be involved.
This exercise will involve about 5,000 people. This is NOT related to any actual terrorist threat, or action. It is a training exercise to test the ability of the various groups to react to a simulated emergency situation in the Greater Toronto Area.
