We were very much in need of some recharge time, especially Ron who’s been working really hard, both at work and at home.
Found a cute little Airbnb a couple hours away. It’s on the lake, lovely view, great walking paths, cute town with lots of flea markets and antique stores to browse, and some amazing restaurants!
Last night we ate delicious Cajun food, tonight we’ll barbecue a couple of huge ribeyes we bought at the local butcher shop (it’s been forever since we last ate red meat!
) and in between we’ve eaten at a couple mom and pop type restaurants. One of our favorite things to do when we go out of town is discovering hole in the wall places to eat where the food is routinely amazing!
We’re enjoying ourselves a lot!
