Ozzy Osbourne has passed away,

Although I liked and saw a few times both Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath,, they were not one of my favorite rock bands probably because was never into their excursions into pagan metal and thought that sub-genre along with the fan styles were nonsense. Many of those types were into hard drugs, especially smack and crank. This Ozzy song, Shot In The Dark is on my most played MP3 playlist:

Yeah I find out when I was looking at some music I was wanting to listen and I saw a thing saying memorial songs by Ozzy which I took that to mean he'd passed. Quite surprised he's gone.

Kind of reminds me of the time when Falco had died in a car crash in the Alps and the way I found about that was on The Simpsons where Dick Clark was voicing his own voice and he had commented to someone "Thank you for that loving tribute to Falco"

Kind of funny how we sometimes accidentally find out favorite artists have passed.
 
Remember the brouhaha about him biting the head off a bat? Well, he didn't bite the head "off" but he definitely bit a bat on stage. In a concert in the early 1980's, someone threw a real bat on stage. Ozzy, thinking it was just a toy, thought it would be funny to bite it. It wasn't a toy, as he found to his dismay. The rest is history.

He also, apparently, bit off the head of a white dove when he was annoyed with a PR person from CBS.

Boy. I first found Black Sabbath when I was 14, and never looked back. Ozzy was a legend. I have all the Ozzy-era Black Sabbath albums, there's nothing like them. Still, he'd lived a hard life, and as his disease worsened, things must have been difficult.

RIP Ozzy.
 
The official cause of death has been released today....

Three causes of death for the rock legend. This included an out of hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction and coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic
