People aren't getting that I've changed my address

I've contacted everyone and every business or organization I coyld think of that my address has changed. Today I got mail at my new house from the IRS with BOTH addresses on it! I thought I explained it clearly that I have one mailing address now. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM????

Sometimes the paper trail or mail was already out for shipping in the mail or already printed and both went out. I would think less and less of this should happen the longer you are at your new residence.

I guess they wanted to make absolutely sure you got the piece of mail.

This one's even crazier: I periodically get mail addressed to my daughter, using her maiden name. She lives in California, and has been married since 1990. She never uses her maiden name.

Only a computer could do this.

It takes a while and vigilance on your part. Sometimes multiple notifications are needed.

Be sure to do a change of address with the post office, and let the new owners of your old house know.

Some never will get it, but after a while the important ones should.

I tried at the PO. Two different ckerks. I was informed that I have to wait until my box at the PO comes up for renewal before I can cahnge it with them. WEIRD!

That seems odd.

They used to put a cardboard plug in the back of the box with the new address on it to prevent the postal clerk from putting any new mail into the box.
