Perfumes.....

Sorry, having trouble typing, cut my index fingerbadly yesterday, andhaving to type with the middle finger of my right hand, keep making spelling mistakes :cautious:

My husband tells me that his father used to wear so much after shave before he left for work that he could taste it in the bread every single morning 😬

I hate tasting smells. Especially cotton defoliant, and it's getting very close to spraying time here. It's distributed onto fields by crop duster planes, and I literally feel like I'm under attack driving thorugh ag country with multiple planes flying around. Have to make sure the car AC is set to recycle interior air, but you can still smell it lingering faintly in the air everywhere. That first air clearing rain after cotton harvest is wonderful.

The only scent I can wear these days is something "citrus-y". Years ago, in a gift shop at SEATAC airport, I found a blood orange scent by a company called Pacifica. I just order it internet now.
Oh I love natural scents by Pacifica. I get them at the health food store. So far I have purchased blood orange and the lime and something one. Both were equally fabulous and these scents don’t bother most people with fibromyalgia symptoms.
Love the fresh citrusy scents.

Wow! That’s been two good reminders in one day.
I must be back in track now.
YES!!!!😎

Oooh, I'm going to have to check out the "lime" scent. I actually just rubbed a lemon peel all over my wrists the other day and someone asked what I was wearing.

You will like it Jujube.
It’s called Tunisian Jasmine Lime
and the other is Tuscan Blood Orange.
To be truthful I prefer these scents over
commercialized ones. They aren’t as aggravating to the sinuses and are much fresher and cieaner smelling.

So you were wearing Jujubes O’de Lemon 🍋 Peel Lol

I really love the original Diorissimo that came out in the 90s. Sad to say, it's no longer produced by Dior.

I tried Nordstrom online but they don't carry the vintage one 😒

I usually spray it on a cotton ball and tuck it in my bra. The scent lingers longer.

I rarely wear perfume .. only on very special occasions, and then, I often forget. My daughter buys me perfume. I haven't bought it for decades. She knows I like only very light fragrances, and put me on to Jo Malone. I spray the air and walk into it.

Chanel No. 5
Dulce & Gabbana Light Blue
Calvin Klein Eternity
Calvin Klein One
Nina Ricci L’Air du Temps
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea
Chantilly

But I prefer natural scented body lotions and mists
My very first "heavy involvement" gf wore L'Air du Temps. She was eleven, I was twelve. It instantly hornifies me, and I'm hyper aware of its scent.

One night, years later, out with my homies, we were standing on the northeast corner of N. Michigan Ave. & E. Walton Pl. I shouted out, "Someone across the street is wearing L'Air du Temps!" The gang told me I was crazy. How could I smell a perfume completely across the very busy, six lane Michigan Ave.? In the middle of Michigan Avenue, on the pedestrian island, I asked this group of young ladies, crossing the other way, if any of them had on that perfume. This very hot gal said, "AAMOF, I do!" My guys and gals were very impressed!

For those who know the area, Oak Street Beach is one block north. The winds are quite strong for a few blocks, either way. The Windy City! That night, they were certainly blowing my way. Not sure if I could repeat my performance, ever again......

I wear it but, very little. A little squirt on my fingers and dab behind each ear. With the COPD too much smelly stuff aggravates it.

Wearing white diamonds today.
