My Father-In-Law would always say "She has on enough perfume to choke a horse". lol

I absolutely hate that, it makes me unable to breathe, the same for guys wearing too much after shave or body spray... I'm always telling my o/h to lay off so much body spray, he smells like a perfume parlour .. *ugh*I use to when I was younger, not anymore
I was on the bus today sitting next to a woman, who I felt had too much perfume on,almost made me gag, luckily she got off a couple stops later
I've been using Sea Island Cotton. We had gifted it to my mother for the last few years. She passed away this past May. My SIL said I should have it when we cleared out her room at assisted living. Reminds me of her every time I use it.I sometimes like putting "Sea Island Cotton" (by Bath & Body Works) body lotion on my hands. Someone always says "mmm what is that?" It just smells delightfully clean...not a perfume smell. It has Shea & Vitamin E in it too. I'm careful to use a little and rubbed it in good.
I don't think I've worn perfume since I wore "Evening in Paris" to my Prom. ☺
Lochkelly, condolences on the very recent loss of your mother.I've been using Sea Island Cotton. We had gifted it to my mother for the last few years. She passed away this past May. My SIL said I should have it when we cleared out her room at assisted living. Reminds me of her every time I use it.

But I prefer natural scented body lotions and mists
I always liked the smell of my Dad's Old Spice aftershave. I am allergic to almost all perfumes...even scented laundry soaps.
I remember my best friend in high school and I would wear English Leather. Wonder what the teachers thought...haha!
But I am able to use the Bath and Body Works "Moonlight Path" scented lotion without getting hives. So at least I can use something!
i used to wear Opium in the day, is that Estee Lauder gennie ?Estee Lauder's Pure White Linen

Ohhhhhhh! That’s it! That’s where I’ve heard your name from AND I once had a man gift me that very perfume. I’d forgotten all about that until just now. Wow.Shalimar by Guerlain
Do you wear perfume, (as some are allergic to it),
what one do you wear, and what one do you like........
i wear a cheap patchouli oil , as an everyday one
special occasions , i have Ellie Saab , ( shine ) and Fragile by JPG........
I think one is supposed to spray on pulse points, but I never spray on my wrists because I don't like anything I touch to take up the lingering smell of my perfume.. cups, glasses, etc..or I hate to smell the perfume when I'm eating...It's easy to overdo. I spray into the air, then walk through it. That way, it's not too strong, and I don't like to spray onto my skin/hair/clothing - even though one is supposed to spray on the wrists (I think).
