Perry Hill School, Iowa Shooting

From what I have been reading, the shooter is already dead, it seems to be unclear whether he shot himself or was taken out by law enforcement, who were on the scene immediately.
Thankfully, the reports are saying that he is the only one who is dead.
Just like in the school shooting a while back in Tennessee, this was someone from the transgender/LGBTQ+ community, and they are not releasing much details besides his name (Dylan Butler) as well as pictures from his social media .

The NRA are in trouble. Financially they're a joke. I mean, you get the idea they're lobbyists, handing money over to influence government officials, but it turns out they're madly in debt - and membership has dropped. It wasn't so long ago they took out a 20+m loan! How does that work? They borrow money to pay off Congress folks? :D
 
The only way to cut down on the Crazies are to lock them back up in the 1000's of Sanitariums. The Crazies possibly have kids who are Crazy and possibly begat more in a never ending hate / hate / hate cycle. No fixing it! Any means will be used to harm / hate / harm & hate some more. Unending, screaming hatred.

Still, it is much more dangerous to start your car and head out on the boulevard. 100,000's to 1 X. every day on the Boulevard you will notice people running 20+ MPH faster than the speed limit dodging and twisting thru traffic, sometimes only going a couple miles and exiting to run city stop lights left and right. Its never ending CRAZY. But percentage wise that guy running all the Stop Lights in the inner city is far more dangerous % wise. It's so dangerous for us we do not run side streets in the city. Its mayhem.

The twisted will do harm or harm themselves. The Constant crap on the Videos / Z / Media, most likely twisted the kid.
You can bring it up on your streaming and listen to it for Weeks without a break. Call them the Worlds Craziest Videos / Twitter / Z etc, if you wish to need a name. The pain, oh the pain. MAYBE Only Judge Judy is worser. Just ask ourselves
about all the ones we know who cannot do anything without the smart phone, earbud / Mic and constant input/output.
S. Jobs, Microsoft, Apple / Mac, Intel / Android / Google, etc. created a monster of immense proportions.

How do you know Butler was a member of trans LGBTQ? None of the news items I read mention that.

The news stories had pictures of his social media, and it was on there. He used a female avatar, the lgbtq logo, and talked about his transitioning, and also Jeffrey Dahmer.
He posted a selfie of himself in the school bathroom just before the shooting.
I think that most of this has been taken down by now, they said TikTok took down his account right away; but you can find more info if you search for it.

The reports said that he shot himself and that he had a shotgun and small caliber handgun and was shot 3 times.

People love to thump the tub for these tragedies and use them as political tools to further agendas they've bought into. Sometimes stories blow up in their faces like an exploding cigar.

Other such horrible events occur but it is clearer that the perpetrator and/or motivation doesn't fit that narrative. In those cases the tragedy is barely mentioned in the press and the drone army doesn't talk about them.

The occurrences are sad and disappointing all on their own. Why not stop trying to profit from them? Sustaining rage and hate toward your fellow man isn't healthy and sure doesn't help the victims.
 
3 of the 5 Mass Shooting were gang related and drive by shooting and mostly teens. The other was from a fight at a party.
For a person to just want to go out and kill a bunch of people.... There is severe mental issue there.... Blaming the gun will not fix what the real issue is.

I don't search this stuff out with a passion, but didn't the UK start confiscating knives?

What next? Pulling teeth and nails of the entire population? I've never owned firearms myself. Used them as a kid, but never even for hunting. Just target practice to develop some competency, hunting was part of our family culture.
 
I completely agree that it is the mental state of the shooter that is the problem. We have had guns ever since America was founded (and so did most other countries at some point in time), and never had these kinds of shooting attacks on schools and churches until recent times.

When I was growing up in the 50ā€™s , most people hunted in the fall, and kids that drove the family truck to high school all had rifles in the gun racks on the back windows. The principal knew about it and often admired some of the rifles, and we all listened to the hunting stories.
No one would have even considered killing people at the school !

In Jr. High, I went to the local rifle range like many of the other kids did, so we could learn how to properly care for and fire a .22 rifle. Some of our teachers were vets from WW2, and I believe that the course was sponsored by the NRA, but i am not sure of that.

No idea what UK is doing. No idea what pulling teeth and nails has to do with this conversation.

They sure have ; just not at the rate that guns have made possible. Two mass shootings a day last year. Maybe this year thereā€™ll be three shootings a day. There canā€™t be mass shootings without guns.

Hm. You say all this, as though any loss of life, for any reason in these circumstances, isn't tragic.
