Do you have any pet peeves? I have several......

I have some antique cars and when I'm in the shop working on them I always have the radio on. One of my pet peeves is the commercial advertisers that feels they must repeat the phone numbers several times for me to either retain it or write it down! There is one radio broadcast commercial that states their business and the service they offer then repeat the phone number 6 straight times. I don't mind listening to the commercial, but I don't really need to hear their phone number 6 times. I will not purchase anything from that advertiser! Silent but effective protest.

I have changed to a couple different stations but the advertisers feel I need phone numbers repeated numerous times from so many different types of advertisers. Obviously they feel there customers base either has either no short span memory or has trouble with numbers. So, now I have switched to Advertiser free music replacing radio broadcasting. Now that I have vented feel so much better!!

If you have any pet peeves......List them here.

Litterbugs who think the world is their garbage disposal
Ungrateful people who take advantage of others
Scammers, liars and pretentious people.

Name droppers my Mom use to call them. People who say, Frank told me or Linda said this or that. I don't mind if you say my friend Frank or Linda my neighbor. But just using the name alone grates on my nerves. I think they do it to seem important as if to say look how many people and friends I have.

Oh goodness yes, I have many.... and as I think of them I'll post them here, but one that comes straight to mind is why, is it I can go all day and not get any texts, or calls, but the minute I sit down to lunch or dinner, the phone rings, regardless of what time I'm eating . I don't keep my mobile phone near me when I'm at the table , so I have to get up and answer it in the middle of dinner...

How fast and sometimes, "out of control" todays young adults will drive. Not caring about any other drivers on the road.

Pet abuse

"Mancho" men who hate helping their wife/girlfriend do anything around the home. They can act more like a body guard than a husband.

As for my wife...…..banking mistakes on credit cards. Way to many commercials on tv, interrupting her favorite programs.

That's enough for now. Guess what forum, didn't say a word about Florida. Guess I'm learning "what and what not to say". LOL

Selfies
Long posts on forums, mostly self-involved drivel
Slow drivers in the fast lane
People who ask for advice, then summarily dismiss all that is offered

That's a start. :D

People who say PIN number instead of just PIN. The N on the end stands for Number, so they’re effectively saying Personal Identification Number Number. Same applies to a vehicle’s VIN.

People who cough and sneeze in public without covering their mouths, as if the rest of us love walking through a cloud of bacteria. Thank you to those who do that. I appreciate the miserable holiday season you've passed on to me. I wish you the same. :what:

Customers who pack every item in their bags, slowly, then fumble around for their purse to pay, keeping the sales assistant and other people waiting, diners blowing their noses at the table, mobile phones on public transport, just a few of my pet peeves ...

Your usual chipper self I see :lofl:

Just playfully teasing of course ;)

Many pet peeves but a couple of the most irritating are:

Not being thanked by the cashier at a grocery store or anywhere else that I make a purchase. And them looking at me like I should be thanking them!

Drivers pulling out right in front of me on the highway when I'm doing 65 mph.

I have a lot of Peeves. Paying for cable tv and seeing commercial after commercial while watching a show. Isn't paying for their service expensive enough. The same for being on the computer and seeing all the ads that come up. Of course if you want to block them it costs you. Thankfully I resolved the issue with robo calls by joining no more robo calls and I didn't have to pay anything.
People always calling me and saying can they stop over without giving me a day or 2 to prepare for their visit. Usually they tell me "I'll be there at lunch time." So then I have to make sure I have lunch ready.

I nip that in the butt immediately and say NO it’s NOT ok!
People don’t like it but I don’t care.

Yes seeing people standing standing smoking then drop It, step on it and walk away ..they end up,in our waterways polluting our river / stormwater that that flows from the hills to,the sea

Slow drivers in the fast lane

Fast drivers who tailgate me.

If me going the speed limit is not fast enough for you, that's your problem, not mine.

And I'll drive in whichever lane I feel like driving in, thank you very much. If I'm in the left lane is probably because I know I will be making a left turn somewhere up the road. So what if it's not for another 5 miles? I like to be prepared early so I don't have to try to merge at the last minute.

Trade,
One of my pet peeves as well. I run pretty fast, but when I have someone on my tail and they start flashing the bright lights to me, the slower I run.

Things that fail at exactly the worst time (e.g., the car that fails to start just before an important appointment).

I generally try to be understanding about other peoples' faux pas, knowing that I myself am so very far from perfect.

One thing that I would certainly like to see less of is posters on internet forums who don't list their location in their profile (or in their screen name). They then respond to a discussion topic with "Around here ..." or "Where I live ...", apparently not realizing that without at least a general location their comment is essentially meaningless. Sadly, this has detracted from a lot of otherwise interesting discussions.
