Pictures From My Smart Bird Feeder

Our first chickadee! :) We got two pictures of him, before and after husband filled the feeder this morning.

And one of Lady Cardinal looking forlornly at the empty feeder.

Oh you got your first chickadee. How sweet.
Now that he/she knows the food is there, I think you’ll see him/her there often.
It’s probably thinking “Looked at all this food!”
There’s your pretty cardinal waiting patiently for a refill.

We finally got some shots of Mr. Cardinal. He's looking so sharp in his flaming red. :) And the chickadee came back.

He’s a handsome fella. I wasn’t expecting any pictures today knowing you arent feeling too well. I hope you aren’t feeling obligated to show us pictures of your birds.
The sweet little chickadee. They are so tame that they will eat seeds right off your hand if you are patient enough to wait. Of course winter isn’t the time to test it out. B-b-b-r-r!

Thank you for showing us pictures from your birdie videos. It’s always a pleasure.

He is a sweet little thing! :)

I don't feel obligated at all! It's fun to share these with you guys. I was so excited to see the chickadee and Mr. Cardinal today and wanted to show you guys. And since I am ill and just sitting in be with my laptop, I've got more time to check the camera app and see whose around. 🤗

Aw, I would feel so special to have a chickadee eating from my palm.

I know! I was happy when husband refilled the feeder and surprised to see her flashy mate. Is it me or is his color deepening?
It could very well be that his colours are deepening. I think the female cardinals colours are deepening too. You are feeding them food with red pepper in it so it wouldn’t be surprising that it shows in the skin and feather. Pink flamingos get their pink colouring from the shrimp they eat. Maybe this is the same thing.

Oh, yes, I can see how that might happen! When my elder son was a baby, he didn't like green veggies and so ate a lot of carrots, sweet potatoes and squash, and turned a bit orange from the beta-carotene. 🤣 The doctor advised sneaking a bit of green mixed in with the orange, which I did.

I like to think of Lord and Lady Cardinal coming into bright colors because we're helping them along. 🤗

Feeding your son ample foods with beta carotene in them is a perfect example of how food affects our colouration.

All the birds you are feeding will look better due to the help of you guys. You are feeding the birds top quality food. It’s no wonder you have so many birds visiting your feeders.
