Britain's media regulator has cleared TV presenter and journalist Piers Morgan of any broadcasting code violations for making comments about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, that drew thousands of viewer complaints.

I am saddened to hear this. Grateful Canadian hate speech laws would likely prevent it happening here. I applaud those Brits who spoke up in her defence. No one is obliged to like the Duchess, but this ongoing largely racially motivated smear campaign is vile yellow journalism, nothing more.

Good on Piers Morgan, criticise a 'coloured' person and you are a racist, they criticise a white person and that's ok. Double standards and apartheid in reverse.

Morgan attracted a flood of complaints when he commented during the March episode of Good Morning Britain that he did not "believe a word she says" and that "I wouldn't believe her if she read me a weather report".

Morgan was referring to comments the duchess made about her mental health, alleged racist attitudes and what she perceived as a lack of support while trying to fit in as a member of the royal family.

As if anyone should really care what Piers Morgan thinks or says. Being a jerk attracts attention, which is what many jerks of late crave, to pump up their sagging prominence.
