Plant based meat substitutes offer no advantage over meat substitutes.

I know a lot of people who think the fake vegan meats are better. Their reasoning is “Meat is bad For my health. This fake meat has no meat in it therefore it must be better for me than meat.” That does not make sense, but, people tend to jump to conclusions.

I haven't come across anyone online or IRL who says that.

You can purchase low-salt soy sauce (Kikkoman brand).
True. But check the ingredients label. It has about 3x more sugar compared to regular soy sauce.

I am reminded of the low-fat craze. They took out the fat, but added plenty of sugar. One can make a case that the added sugar was worse than the fat that was removed.

I agree. Probably moderation is the best policy. You can drive yourself nuts with all the ifs, ands, and buts of health and environmental factors in our food. If something is really endangered, then it shouldn't be sold, period. But this eternal debate about meat vs. veggie never gets solved, and at the end of the day, I wonder if it makes anyone really healthier.
