This has probably been mentioned before but I have to vent, as it were....
So, I had to go out and buy a new remote for the TV. When I got home there was a problem. See, the remote was packaged in some kind of plastic cocoon. I mean, I sat there staring at this package trying to figure out how to open the thing. No tabs to pull as it was sealed completely...... Like it was some sort of secret device that could only be opened with dynamite. I didn't have dynamite. So I continued my search for some area on the package where it could be opened. Tried finding SOMEPLACE around the package to get at the remote.
Finally, I decided to get a knife to try to open the thing. After much prying, stabbing and, I hate to admit it some cursing, the only thing I had accomplished was to stab myself.
OK, so I had to call Sue. After showing her what I had to face, the problem I was having and showing her my injury, she took the plastic encased remote, ripped up a corner of the plastic and removed the remote....Which she handed to me with a sigh....
She also handed me a bandaid. For some reason she always comes prepared whenever I get near a knife.
