Be careful on Pogo Marie.. I used to play on Pogo years ago, for a long time but came to find out it causes all sort of problems with the junk and spyware it places on your computer.. . so I stopped playing..shame really!!I play on Pogo as well. I like Casasta too. Never figured out gin or spades. I like some of the solitaire games..there, like Tri Peaks. Right now I am enjoying the Mahjong type games. And the connect 3 games there.
I now have my 10 inch tablet dedicated to only games..No other info is on it...but came to find out it causes all sort of problems with the junk and spyware it places on your computer.. . so I stopped playing..shame really!!

Oh, I don't know. There was a game to play, I heard no voice, just played.Isn't anyone an instructor over there? should be.
I do like Spades, Canasta, and Hearts. I just want to broaden my horizins and play Bridge.Gin is pretty much like the Canasta. You should try it with the bot. I'm sure you could figure it out plus there's game play info to teach you. I didn't have any luck with the Spades. I don't understand it. LOL!
I like the Mahjong games as well.
You have to agree to Adobe Flash .. it's not a download. Only thing is, it isn't recording my high scores for 2020.Do you?... I can't find a website that plays Word Whomp any more... I used to love that !!

I too would like to learn to play Bridge. Or maybe it would be better said if I said, I'd like to learn to play bridge well. The basics are easy but the subtleties and finesse can take a lifetime to learn. Still, for me, that's part of the attraction. I looked for places to learn to play Bridge for free and I came up with this as a Google search. I've tried some but not all of them. Where I live now, there's a group that meets several times a week to play but sometimes it's just not so easy to fit the group into my schedule. Still, it's a really fun and challenging game. I think of it as kind of like Chess but with playing cards.I do like Spades, Canasta, and Hearts. I just want to broaden my horizins and play Bridge.
I sometimes play solitaire, but mostly play word games such as Word Whomp.
I like word games too and have played Word Whomp in the past. It really is a fun game.never heard of Word Whomp, but I do enjoy word games. Gonna have to check it out/
Do you play against other players or algorithms?
I no longer have access to Word Whomp. Stopped playing online Scrabble and similar games, when my computer was hacked a few years ago. I playing Microsoft Solitaire and Mahjong, that's about it.never heard of Word Whomp, but I do enjoy word games. Gonna have to check it out/

Right. Except it's one of those games in which there is a lot to learn. My mother-in-law, who played bridge several times a week for her entire adult life, used to say that it took a lifetime to learn all there was to know. She was 83, and still stayed up all night to play bridge with my group. An amazing woman, in many ways!I don't know how to play Bridge and I went online to play as a beginner. It looks a lot like Spades/Hearts. You bid and play with a partner and try to get as many books/tricks as you can and you play your trump cards strategically to set your opponents. Right?
I'll try that. Thanks for telling us about it.There's a good free bridge app called bridgebase.com . You can play against the computer (they provide 3 imaginary players) or with other real people, though I've never tried that.
There are tons of books about bridge. And it's not worth it (to me) to invest in lessons. Back where I lived, 6 weeks of 1 hour lessons were being offered for $100. I think free has that beat, for me anyhow. Good luck, if you're still trying to learn. I did notice that the last response here was quite some time ago. Cheers!![]()
