Please don't read if you are grossed out easily, but I need to know..

Could we have a forum on things that are too gross for some folks? Then they don't have to read them, because they are asking for it if they do right? So they can't complain. I'll give an example and Matrix can decide. I volunteer to be monitor too, LOL!!

Ok, as I get older, sometimes it is not that easy to wipe yourself, so sometimes, when I wipe my bum, I tend to get some on my thumb. This is true, and I just wonder if I'm the only one and if there might be any suggestions?

Denise

PS Song to go with this:

Ok, I just wanted those that are shocked, disgusted, and dismayed to know I am headed for my therapy in a few. Therapy has been proven to help with outlandish actions, like the above, not the act of wiping, but posting it out in public:lofl:I'll be back, so there's another, fair:rolleyes: warning;) Denise

Oh thanks Lois!! This is the best suggestion so far, wait, it's the only one so far:lofl:

Well, it could only be a certain level of gross, maybe mine is too risque;)

Im all for it and NO not to risque as long as some funny lines, pictures come with it such as what I-am-Lois just posted.

Now a guy like me,in the wee hours of the AM, sometimes I dont hit that spot while standing and the poor cat gets a unwanted shower.

Ah, LOL! I can understand that, but those animals love to follow us into the can don't they, LOL!!

The only thing I could suggest Nwlady, is using more TP, that will help. Any posts about bodily functions or personal hygiene are perfect for the Health forum, or its sub-forum, My Health Concerns. We're all human here regardless of age, so you're not alone.

The elderly people who no longer have such good range of motion as they did when younger might have problems with this. Anyone who is obese, or sickly will also have a problem now and then. Some people many just get careless or be in a hurry, and something like that may happen.

Best thing I can advise is to always clean up afterwards, for your own health and others around you. A good hand washing immediately is a must. Funny you mention this, because a stool sample test for cancer just came in the mail for me from Kaiser, so I'll be doing what's required in a very careful way in the next day or two, lol.

Oh yes, it is about health, I didn't think about that. And more tp. I am short on funds so I guess I need to up my usage to more then 2 squares. It is double-ply but I can see this being a necessity.

Oh girlfriend, I hope it all goes well, hugs, Denise

Just a standard yearly 'at home' test Nwlady for colon cancer, but thanks for the good thoughts. :love_heart: I use the good old-fashioned Scott Tissue @ 1,000 sheets per roll, and single ply. I stock up when it's on sale, a 12 pack for $8, or a 24 pack for $15. Figure that's something that will never go to waste, and we'll use it until we're dead, lol. The price of TP, tissues and papertowels have really skyrocketed over the past 10 years! :dollar:

Actually, many people with mobility problems may have trouble reaching. There is actually a device called a "Long Reach Comfort Wipe" which holds tissue on a handle, available at Amazon. & it has a button to release the tissue into the toilet when finished.

Wow, this sounds great! Thanks Geez!! Denise;)

Easy for you to say,try telling and teenager and an 8 year old. "STOP WASTING TOILET PAPER."

Im lucky if 1 roll last 24 hours..

Right, but I doubt they'll make an electronic one dern it, now that would be cool. We could put it in the "gadget" thread;) Thank you Phantom, I seriously never heard of one of these until geezerette mentioned it. I know a lot of people that would like to know about this;) Denise

That is a dilemma. One of the other gals that rents here shares my bathroom. She is 25, been to 4 year college, now here teaching something or other. But not a lick of sense:( The toilet paper disappears faster then you can say "flush that dang toilet" and then it's not replaced either. I am the "mommy" around here I suppose, lucky me:tapfoot:. So I totally freaked her out by telling her 1, square only, and you poke one finger through it and use that to wipe. That way, you can use the 1 square over and over, depending on the quality of the paper. You should have seen the look on her face, kids today, no sense of humor, no common sense, no sense of humor:lofl:

nwlady, I owe you an apology... I truly do.
I had no idea that you were actually serious about what you posted, but after reading other posts I can now understand far better. I am so sorry for your financial troubles right now. I guess where I shop I am lucky...we can get good TP for 88 cents a 4 pk...and I am especially sorry if there is a physical condition that makes this difficult for you. I wish you all the best in the world. Again, I apologize.

You don't owe me an apology BettyAnn, I was being gross, and trying to be funny, but it was something I wondered about. I should have posted in health, and been serious about it. Not you at all. By the way, I get grossed out at things, and if someone said "don't read this" I would be first in line to read it;) I don't know why I get in those stupid moods:(

You're getting a 4 pack for 88 cents, wow, we used to have what was called the "88 cent store", you just reminded me of it!! That was like 50 years ago we had one. We do have the Dollar Store, or tree, but I don't usually go there. The toilet paper is so thin you can use one-roll for one wipe:lofl:Oops, there I go again. I think there are at least two of me Betty, the well-behaved Denise, then this other one:hopelessness:
