Thank you very much for welcoming me to the group, and very kind of you. Yes, I am finding it out great group of people, and I am very pleased to be a part of it.

I'm mostly a wanna-be traveler. I'd planned to go on overseas vacations each of the three years before I retired, but I'd only accomplished the first trip (to Wales, London, Paris), and put a deposit on a trip to Africa, but then the pandemic messed up my plans. I have retired now (three months ago) but although I've been vaccinated and double-boosted, I have not caught covid yet so I am nervous about going to Africa, it would be miserable to travel and then be sick there I think.
So now I am recently launched into a plan to travel around the USA for a year or two. I sold my house in Nebraska last month and am staying for a month in the Chicago area, then next month I will go to Ohio, and to the state of New York, then to Boston by September. I hope to get down the east coast to the Carolina's before cold winter weather, but my plans are still pretty fluid.
 
Wow, HN! You have planned a lot of places to travel in US, and it is a beautiful country to travel. I have done some fantastic tours with camper, I also think the best way of travelling in US or Canada.

Travelling to Africa I think I will have doubts too, but we can’t live in fear of Covid, but saying that I do not like to catch Covid either, I have 3 vaccinations, and I am still reluctant to travel. I understand you very well Covid made our lives very difficult.
I was living in Panama I decided to return to UK to get my vaccinations. I regret with my then decision.

Paris is a nice place, I am sure you enjoyed. There are some fantastic cities in Europe for travelling.
I wish you all the luck in your travel plans and I wish your dream come true.

We have something in common, I'm a retired pharmacy tech,I worked 3 days/wk for 27 yrs at local hosptial.My job was delivering narcotics to all nursing floors and speciality units e.g ER,CCU,MICU It was alot of walking/bending/ paper work
You'll meet wonderful new online friends from around the world which makes SF a cool place to hang out every day

Hi Sue, thank you very much for the warm welcome. Yes, I am glad that I found SF, and it was pure accident I found the site. I was making plans to travel, and I was researching about South East Asia travel and found SF.
It is always a pleasure to find somebody to have something in common.

Welcome! I was in the travel industry prior to retirement a little over 2 years ago, so I look forward to hearing your stories. This is a great site, with many caring people, so I hope you find a good home here.
