A black/female officer , with a few years on our local PD, shot & killed a 35 yr/old white male perp/suspect, Sun night. It is reported that the officer responded in a manner consistent with her training ..... And is on administrative leave , and attending required departmental counseling.

WoW ! Surely a different manner of reporting than when a white/male officer shoot's & kills a black male perp/suspect.

No plans so far heard for riots in the streets.

Do you have the web site where the article is posted?

Thanks for the web sites.
Thankfully the body cam shows non compliance, reaching for & pointing a loaded gun at the police officer.

No need to identify race when it's clear the police officer was right in the action taken.

I agree, and I condone the officer's action ........ My only comment on race is the fact that the reporting is so much different in this case {white male suspect/black female cop} And it's all good ....... but in the reverse ...... there almost always some complaint about how it was handled by the officer, and how they [they the police] should not have shot.

Did this article get passed by? I thought it to be bizarre. If all this man did was to run a stop sign, why would cops chase him into a house and hit him with their stick? Was he a felon? Anyone know anything more about what happened?

Allegedly ran the stop sign. Then the high speed chase reaching 32 mph. is a real danger to the public.

No mystery to me why the young man got indoors

I believe we are discussing two different events here ........ I posted only about the Cincinnati event. Which was a shooting in a gas station.

I saw that and felt that the young man was wrong to try and evade police over a routine traffic stop.

I suppose the question becomes, what should the police do when someone flees from them for no apparent reason?

I'm beginning to think that police should be taken off routine patrols and only respond when summoned, similar to fire departments.

I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would become a police officer or first responder, it certainly isn't for the money or the prestige.
