Back in the late 1960s, I was going with Sue. Her mom snored. We are not talking about a little snort. She rattled windows. Seriously, Sue and I would come from a walk in the park. As soon as we turned onto her street, you could hear her mother. They couldn't open the mother's bedroom window, because the neighbors complained. Even with the windows shut, you could hear her. Like I said from several houses away. For the entire marriage, her husband slept on the couch-he just couldn't get any sleep otherwise. I couldn't understand how Sue got any sleep. When I first met Sue, she said her mother snored-really loud. Well, how bad could she be? I remember the first time we walked down Sue's street, and I heard her mother. Sue was embarrassed. I never heard anything like that since.
