i've mentioned CMEs in other post or two months ago. So posting this article (DD and i verified the info with Space.com) as an FYI that various Tech could be effected this. And for a change it won't be our service providers' fault. Please read the article before 1) panicking
or 2) calling me an alarmist. This was a level 2 (of a 5 level scale with 5 the worst) when first spotted, now is a 3. DD informed me after checking with Space.com that two more ejections have followed and may amp up the threat level more. They won't know until the new ones can be measured by NOAA satellites.
On the upside, we may be able to see Aurora's at latitudes that don't usually get them due to the effect on our magnetic field. We've got cloud cover predicted remainder of week--so even if they come this far south we may not see, OR maybe the clouds will be just diffuse enough to make for even more interesting view.
