Wow,
@hollydolly, I just came across this video, and funnily enough it was amazingly helpful in my work! I've been working on a series of articles on the psychiatric use of ketamine and psilocybin to help manage various psychiatric disorders, and this video shed a lot of light. For example, one author mentioned psilocybin and psilocin but didn't clarify the difference—probably because the target audience is medical doctors, who already know, but these articles are supposed to be accessible to nonexperts, too.
Also I've always wondered about meth and why it is so addictive. This explained it.
I didn't look carefully enough at the screenshot and thus did not realize it would segue directly into a description of the effects of benzos, and after hearing that description I am fighting back tears. I'm thinking of sharing that link with my daughters to help explain to them. Even though one is an addiction counselor and the other a nurse, and thus they've been educated on drugs, I think this layperson-oriented description is extremely helpful.
Anyway, thanks for posting that. Who knew you'd end up helping with my current worklo
ad.
