This is my beloved, late cousin Ronnie and me. We were somewhere between 16 - 18, not sure, so this photo was taken between 1963 and 1965. Ronnie was 3 months older than me.

my mum was the same age as Mizmo.. she never had any beads.. only because she never had money to buy them... but she was given pearls ( fake).. by someone, and she refused to wear them because she was superstitious that they brought tears... but I do remember my aunts who were the same age as mum and mizmo, especially the more fashionable ones wearing the beads.. and they were the ones who back-combed their hair as well, and wore pretty ribbons.. and mini skirts..
