You say it is satire, but I was surprised to hear that said by several Americans, especially because America is so multicultural. How do Americans fare with multiple languages? In Europe, the Benelux countries seem to speak more than two languages. Most Europeans can communicate in English, although the French can be a little stubborn. Brits in France with dual nationality have told me how the French make a sport out of being more stubborn than British tourists.
