Thanks for that RR. Everything is back on now. I'm glad it wasn't much over an hour of outage.
Exactly!Whew!![]()
So glad to hear that Ruthanne, birds are very sensitive to the cold and temperature changes....happy all is well.Thank God the power just came back on and my heat came on too and it's going full blast.
Thank you! Yes they are sensitive to those things so I'm very relieved the power is on again. So glad to hear that Ruthanne, birds are very sensitive to the cold and temperature changes....happy all is well.
That would be a cool thing to have. I live in an apt. but could not afford the cost of a generator at this time anyhow. After our power company had planned outages during fire season, we bought a 4500 Watt generator. It will handle our refrigerator, freezer, and assorted appliances. We also put a power strip on a table so our neighbors could charge their cell phones, etc.

Thank you, I took a look at that. I do have a few blankets around here but they may not be as useful as the one you provided the link for. Looks good. Now's the time to invest is a couple of these. One for you, one for your feathered buddy. I even keep one in my car as one never knows.

That's a good thing to have I realize. I wish the building where I live had one, too, but this landlord would not invest in that...for us at least. One of the first things I bought when we moved to the country was a generator. Luckily, I've only needed to use it 4 or 5 times in 18 years...the worst outage we've had was about 18 hours. I fire it up about once every month, for 15 or 20 minutes, to insure that it is ready to go, if needed. It's only 6500 watts, but that is enough to run the basics.
I know that's a good thing to have.@Ruthanne I'm happy your birds are ok. I had a scare like that a few years ago. The power was out for days. I had mine covered but was so worried. I was just about to bring him to my sister in laws when the power came back on.
We now have a small generator that will at least heat the room he is in.
