I anticipate It’s going to feel longer and darker than most winters so far. Home alone can be turned to advantage if we use the freedom in that to make choices for well being.
I’ll start this thread with the well known phrase FIVE A DAY FOR HEALTH. As well as fruit and vegetables there’s the following 5 a day for emotional well being
1. Connect ( with a friend, family, neighbour )
2. Be active (dance around, stroll etc)
3. Be curious ( notice something closely, reflect, and appreciate)
4. Learn ( a new skill, a new recipe, a new interest)
5. Give ( help a friend or stranger)

Joining this forum is one of my steps! Thank you

Hi mamanana... where in this big wide world are you?

Every year, my husband and I used to go to the Annual Lilac Festival in a tiny town called Lisbon, NH, which sits on the border of the White Mountain Region and thee Great North Woods. It was like a little country fair, with amusements, food stands, crafts, fireworks and a concert in the park at the town bandstand. After touring the many areas with impressive displays of lilacs, we'd join in the discussions of how they compared to the previous year, then head on to the festivities and make a day of it.

Thanks for bringing back the memories of some wonderful days in my life.
