Not before time either IMO

Andrew will no longer be known as a prince and is to leave Royal Lodge, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

In a bombshell statement released tonight, Buckingham Palace said he will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor - with immediate effect.

It comes as the palace said the 'censures are deemed necessary' amid the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal, who Andrew lied about cutting ties with.

'His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew,' the statement said.

'Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.

'Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.

'These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.

'Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.'

Andrew LOSES Prince title and is forced out of Royal Lodge

About time!

I honestly didn't think Charlie boy had the testicular fortitude to do it.
He happily proved me wrong.
Yes... but you know what I'm thinking? much as Andrew deserved it.. that Charles has done it to stop the wolves at Harry's door.... try and get the public concentrating on Andrew and fergie.. and leave his youngest son out of the picture for a while.

IMO he should have just had a clean sweep.. and removed the titles of both those odious couples...

Absolutely!

It's death by a thousand cuts.

Sad that it's dragging his children and ex-wife into it, but it is what it is. My feeling is that this is still far from over. He's down, but he's not rock bottom.

Could be, but there is such much focus on Epstein in the US and Virginia Giuffre just flat called him out for assaulting her prior to her suicide. I don't think the Royals need this perve staining their image any longer.

well he couldn't have assaulted her just before her suicide .. (Epstein) cuz he's dead... and she hadn't seen him for years before that ...

Sarah dragged herself into it... she's a volte faced grifter, who made it clear in a letter to Epstein that she didn't believe a word of Giuffre and his accusers..... ...this prior to telling everyone publicly that she wanted nothing to do with him.. then sucked up to him ( excuse the expression ) in that letter.. because he was bankrolling her as were many other people... because she continued to use the ''Royal title'' to which she was not entitled...... and thankfully stripped of it now along with her odious ex husband

The papers are now leaking out some not so pleasant things about the daughters as well.. people keep talking about them like their young children, and should be protected from their parents but they are 37 and 35 years old..

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has 'no moral boundaries' and exploited his role as Trade Envoy to 'line his pockets' and chase women, royal historian Andrew Lownie tells a new Daily Mail podcast.

Speaking to Deep Dive: The Fall of the House of York, Lownie claims that during one taxpayer-funded trip to Thailand, the disgraced former prince had 40 prostitutes brought to his five-star hotel over just four days.

Lownie is author of the unauthorised biography, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which chronicles Andrew's spectacular fall from grace.

-Prince Charles advised against giving Andrew the Trade Envoy role in 2001, warning he would just 'chase women and play golf'.

Lownie claims the now King was overruled by then-Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair and ally Peter Mandelson. So, in the midst of what Lownie describes as 'a midlife crisis', Andrew embarked on a series of taxpayer-funded trips that doubled as holidays.

Lownie said: 'In 2001, Andrew is 41, he's having his midlife crisis and he basically starts chasing lots and lots of women.

'He uses the excuse of his role as Trade Envoy, paid for by the taxpayer, to go off on these trips.

'He always puts in two weeks of "private time". So, we pay for his holiday and then he goes off and does things.

'There was a famous trip to Thailand - for the birthday celebrations of the King. Andrew is representing his country and insists on staying in a five-star hotel rather than the embassy, which he always did.

Andrew had 40 prostitutes brought in the space of four days. This was all enabled by diplomats and others.'

Asked by host Vine about the 40 prostitutes claim, the historian said it had been verified by multiple sources including a Reuters correspondent and a member of the Thai royal family.

t Andrew during his time as Trade Envoy was him using the position to further his own business interests.

He called on the National Archive to release its files on the Prince's stint in the role, arguing there is 'a conspiracy of silence' around Andrew.

'Andrew was sending a list of people he wanted to meet for his own personal business interests', the historian claimed.

'Or the interests of a man called David Rowlands, with whom he was in a business partnership.

'For example, Andrew was able to push through a banking license for Rowlands in the Middle East.

Now that we're through "trashing" the British version of the Epstein Files, doesn't it only seem fair and even-handed that we give the same level of detail and participation regarding our top level U.S. government officials - - no more or no ]ess ?

Do you seriously want to get rid of Parliament and give the power to the King?
Do I want to give power to the King? Quite the opposite. The flippant remark was meant in jest. The Gunpowder Plot was an assassination attempt on King James 1st and his family.

The British monarchy underpins a class society primarily by embodying and legitimising inherited privilege and social hierarchy. Its existence at the top of the social ladder reinforces the idea of an established, unequal order based on birthright rather than merit.
The Monarchy serves as a powerful, visible symbol of a hierarchical society.

Their status, wealth, and titles are inherited, which normalises the concept of unearned advantage and social stratification for the rest of society. The institution, with its vast inherited wealth and tax privileges, exists in stark contrast to the economic struggles faced by many citizens, highlighting and entrenching class divisions.
