Prince Andrew's problems from association with Epstein.

Funny how many blew off the pictures as tabloid fakery several years ago yet Epstein already had plea bargained criminals charges that were eventually questioned with an investigation/s reopened.

Setting aside the atrocious criminal acts guys like Epstein attract a lot of 'players' trying to network for money, power, influence etc. In some respects that's just as bad and that there more Epsteins out there that do the same thing. When it comes to money many can look the other way without issue.

My thing with Prince Andrew is why does someone from the UK/another country hang out with a US citizen whose "legal" dealings include facilitating financial deals for the rich and powerful in the US. Did Andrew supply Epstein with hedgefund clients or know a politician that needed money? Why go to his parties or bother to pose with underage girls not somebody's attending family member?

He's not been allowed to step back from his duties...he's had his job removed from under his feet. Bang goes his £300,000 year salary.. wonder how he's going to support his spoiled adult kids and equally spoiled ex wife now..

He's a horrendous specimen, always has been an arrogant piece of goods, completely out of touch with the real people of this country, a user who has everyone else pay for his lifestyle, and never had a paying job since he left the Navy, no wonder his kids never wanted to work either...

I've been watching the new Netflix series about the queen, "The Crown, part 3." In the episode I watched yesterday, the queen showed monumental callousness and arrogance when a mine disaster in Wales buried an entire school, and killed hundreds of children. She initially refused to go to Wales to express support and sympathy, claiming that "The Crown doesn't visit disaster sites, only hospitals." Even when Harold Wilson, her Prime Minister, begged her to go, she refused, maintaining an icy distance about the whole thing. Finally she relented, and even managed to shed a tear, but I felt it was too little, too late.

She did the same thing after Diana died, at least according to the movie, "The Queen." (I admit I get a lot of my info about the British royals from the movies I watch.) She refused to return to England from a vacation in Scotland, pretty much ignoring the whole thing, I guess because Charles and Diana were divorced, so the queen couldn't be bothered to show any human compassion. Until she realized she had to.

In "The Crown," Princess Margaret is portrayed (by Helena Bonham Carter) as a desperately unhappy, alcoholic, spoiled brat, but given the way she was thrown on the trash heap by her sister (no, you can't marry Peter Townsend, even after waiting years for royal permission), I can't help but having a certain amount of sympathy for her. But the queen, whom I had always liked until recently, seems very cold and removed from the rest of the human race. So, in the case of Andrew, maybe the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. At least this time, the queen recognized the political expediency of reacting.

Am I wrong about any of this?

I've watched The Crown series 1 and 2 and it's a mix of fact and fiction.

The Crown covers some very dramatic real-life events – but with a heavy dose of artistic licence as we go behind the doors of Buckingham Palace.

If you’re curious about what’s fact and what’s fiction in Netflix’s The Crown, we’ve got all the big questions covered with these in-depth features. Take a look at the history that inspired The Crown seasons one, two and three…

Wow, I saw this later on. She gave him the boot. Give his allowance to the NHS!

I believe Margaret could have married Townsend if she gave up her title. She chose her title.

The man has been a thorn in the backside to speak --he came out of the navy then his life just went from bad to worse -
he is or was a playboy the media knew and the uk public .. queen gave him free reign -and he abused it with he's flying all
over the place 'mixing with some dregs of life along the way ' his mother has covered many a time for him ect..
and saying this= sarah ferguson has a very short memory of why she wanted the divorce .. imo -he should have been giving
some kind of duty when he finished the falklands .. but being her fav son he did just what he wanted too ..hence the problems now .

I don't follow the Royals. I don't know what constitutes being a "Royal" is, but I think they are actually human beings. I'm not sure what Prince Andrew has been accused of doing? I know it's serious, because he is voluntarily giving up his government paid salary. Anyone, who is on the public dole knows that once you give it up, it's hard to get it back. It sets a bad precedent.

Police notebooks could hold the truth about the Prince Andrew sex claims.
There are calls for Scotland Yard to release the logs kept by royal protection officers. One of the former officers said notes would include times and dates of any trips to Pizza Express and Tramp nightclub. The Met said the pocket logs were kept for up to 30 years.

I wonder if these notebooks will ever see the light of day ? What are the odds .......

we've said the same thing all along, but of course the ODDS are a million to one against!!!.. because technically he hasn't broken any laws but even if he had the odds would still be against it...

He has now, not before time, withdrawn from public life.

He gets no allowance from the Civil List (the Royal pay packet), the only allowance he gets is from his mother, and that must come from her personal account, not from her own Civil List allowance.

He can join his wife as a drone, dependent on others.

According to reports that have come out after the event,
she stayed at Balmoral to comfort her grandsons, William
and Harry who were with at the time of their mother's death.

None of that was ever reported at the time, the press were
too busy sticking in the knife and twisting it, saying that she
was heartless etc.

I believe that she really did hurt and was looking after them,
they were barely teanagers at the time.

Mike.
