you would do a commercial – free – to endorse them.

For me, two come to mind:

Isotoner gloves – I fell in love with these in the 80s. I used to give them as gifts. I now have a pair that I bought about 8 yrs ago that are cashmere lined that I wear in cold weather. They are black, look and feel so good that I almost look forward to winter!

Rockport shoes – I heard about these from a friend. In 2003 I bought two pairs (they were pricey but I caught a sale at th Rockport store) that I wear in the fall/winter and I swear they still look new. Sooooooo comfortable, well worth the price.

Red you just click on the star on the bottom left of her post. Like I just did yours.

I'm with you with the mattresses red...since I discovered about 10 years ago..my high end excellent quality deep base tempura mattress ( not the foam type) I would never go back to an ordinary divan mattress..Also these days I buy excellent (expensive but worth it) pillows and bedding...wow, who knew it would make such a difference ?

Agree with the Isotoner gloves - used to wear them all the time.

The only product I would endorse now for free would be my dealer's weed, but he probably wouldn't agree to appearing on TV ...

SifuPhil -

Holly, this might sound strange but although I have pillows on my bed, I rarely actually sleep on them. I put them aside when I get into bed because I prefer to lay my head on the flat bed – especially in warm weather.

As far as sheets, it does make a difference to have good quality sheets with a high thread count. Actually Martha Stewart has some very nice bedding. But I don’t love them enough to do a free commercial.

Another product I would consider doing a free commercial would be the "Orgreenic" fry pan. Excellent....NO sticking, wipes clean, and it's attractive. Mine was only $19.99.

I love Merrell shoes and Clark`s shoes. I used to love Rockports about 25 years ago, but had a bout of Plantar Fascitis and was lining my Rockports with all kinds of insoles to try to make walking bearable, and finally thought what`s the point? Just never went back to them.

I have to say in the past few years I've found the quality of Clark's shoes have really deteriorated so I don't buy them any more.

AC...I used to do exactly the same as you with the pillows for many years when I was younger, but since I first got a herniated lumber disc in the late 90's my consultant said that sleeping without a pillow particularly on your stomach is actually the worst thing you can do for you back, so ever since then I've used one pillow. Must admit it took me ages to get used to it, but now I have to have it or the pain gets me immediately in my lower back.!!

I've always used non-stick pans...I've never heard of Orgreenic tho'..must go look it up..

Good, 100% whole wheat pasta. My wife has convinced me whole wheat is far healthier, not causing a "glycemic spike" in the blood (as if either of us knows what we're talking about!). Many of the products marked "whole wheat" in reality are not, but rather around 50% W.W., the rest not. Gotta read the labels, as top brand-names like Barilla, Ronzoni, are the most misleading label-wise. Perhaps our Chicago health-worker may clarify the blood sugar issue? imp

United Airlines---"Come Fly the Friendly Skies of United."
Coca Cola---"Have A Coke and a Smile."

1. Stihl Chainsaws
2. Kubota Tractors

The workhorses these things have been for me, out here in the country...and how well they have held up to all the work...speaks volumes about their overall quality.

But, of course, now that I praise these units, with my luck, the next time I use them, something will break.

Kenkoh massage sandals. I rarely slip on anything else ... sneaks for walking is about it. It takes awhile to get used to the nubbies and they suggest starting while wearing socks. Kenkohs give you reflexology without having to pay a masseuse. I've worn nothing else -[ other than sneaks and anything calling for obligatory fancy footwear ]- for 7, 8, 9 years now.
