They "dangled the carrot" of travel and luxury experiences to lure their victims. I don't understand why people who are wealthy have to do sh*t like this.
"The Alexander brothers -- Alon, Oren and Tal -- have been arrested on federal sex trafficking charges, according to New York prosecutors.

For well over a decade, the prominent real estate brothers conspired to "repeatedly and violently drug, sexually assault and rape dozens of women," according to an indictment unsealed Wednesday in New York after the brothers were arrested in Miami on Wednesday."

I have trouble seeing some of these situations as sex trafficking and that is probably my bad

In my mind sex trafficking is buying, selling, kidnapping kids, and exploiting them sexually.

I have trouble with people that intentionally engage in risky behaviors that result in a bad outcome.

I believe that these guys and others should be stopped and prosecuted but I have trouble feeling much sympathy for the young women that answered these advertisements and fell for these lines.

We all learned in the 60s and 70s that nobody rides for free. 😉

Legally adult women can be vulnerable for a number of reasons. Perhaps they are a bit greedy themselves and just not smart.

But I can tell you by experience, I could have got into some really bad crap in my earlier life with the upbringing I had. I could have clung onto anyone and anything for a sense of love or belonging. I often think being overweight is what saved me. Because people were not interested in me so I just plodded along. I had a therapist say something to me once and I brushed it off. Years later I thought of it in another context and it scared me.

Adults who were severely traumatized as children are very vulnerable.

The young women of today weren't alive in the 60s and 70s. Neither were influencers who tend to create desire for money, status and fame. " Travel and luxury experiences" sound pretty good to a lot of young people.
