Protecting commercial aircraft.

I got some AC/DC music that will make them drop the weapons and run screaming and covering their ears

I'm pretty sure that Air Force One (and probably Marine One as well) have that tech on-board, but the price has got to be prohibitive. Hard to believe El-Al has them on ALL their planes, unless of course the U.S. paid for it ...

they learned the hard way how to build defense and security systems. the best in the world

Israel’s major Elbit Systems firm produced a new way of protecting El-Al planes and other medium and large airliners against shoulder-fired missiles.
The C-MUSIC system, whose Hebrew name translates to “Sky Shield”, is designed to protect commercial airliners from shoulder-fired missiles.

So it's totally an Israeli invention - surprising.

It says it protects them from shoulder-fired missiles - since the MA17 that went down was supposedly hit by an SA-11 missile I wonder if it would have protected against that?

not to me. they learned a lot after the Entebbe raid in 76

Most military planes have some type of protection, but nothing like in the video. As for commercial flying, there are many cameras, including IR cameras throughout the terminals and grounds that are constantly being watched for suspicious activity. The public can help also by being alert when in the terminal and also looking out the window of the aircraft, especially on takeoffs and landings for suspicious activity. Never be timid or afraid to report suspicious activity. You may save many lives.

I have read that Congress has taken up this issue, but as always, costs and who will pay are the issues. For the first time in decades, the airlines have turned profitable thanks to the many fees that the FTC have allowed them to charge.

Keep in mind the old saying, "The most dangerous part of flying is the drive to the airport."

You dont think that video is real do you.

I believe you have taken my words out of context. What I meant was that the military uses flares and other types of heat producing items. Whether the video is real or not, I have no clue. I was just making a comparison between the video and what I know is being used on military aircraft. I have heard of Elbit Systems and they are in the business of manufacturing security products, even for the military.
