Well, day to day my life is impacted by all kinds of science, quantum mechanics being just one part.

I just found this article this morning that describes a method of converting carbon dioxide into ethanol. It involves the use of nanoparticles of carbon and copper acting as the catalyst. Quantum mechanics put to work with possible advantages for clean energy and the climate.

well it certainly keeps me busy . i find the speed of light in a vacuum is quite a bit faster in my electrolux than my hoover

Good observation! Perhaps I should investigate that myself the next time I work up the energy to fire up the vacuum.
