Lets go with the obvious you are not me. I really don't know how you view God. Can you explain?
My view of God changed when I began questioning what I was taught at a very young age. I have never received an answer that is based in fact. Being told to blindly believe that or there is no way to produce a fact based reply.
The God or Lord referred to in the bible. The one that those with faith that a sentient being billions of years old is aware of the birth & death of every human being. The plan according to the bible is this.
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you".
Somehow those born with mental or physical disabilities unable to enjoy life didn't get the not harmed part. Then world wide the homeless don't seem to be prospering. Free will seems to me to be the catch all words to justify the harm & lack of prospering promised.

How & when did the being referred to in the bible as God or the Lord become the creator?
What is the image in "our image" is it physical or a way of being that reflects compassion and or wrath & vengeance as told in the bible?

Thanks for asking.
If I have to put myself in a box or a category I can really only say that I'm an oddball. I don't fit into any category of believing. I have studied the Bible intensively, as well as all of the other major religions of the world. I find many things in all of them that resonate with me and also some that are obviously just the thoughts and doctrines of the men who wrote all those things down. So I kind of take it all with a grain of salt, making up my own mind what is truth and what is not simply by opening my mind and heart to the matter. I rely heavily on intuition.
If you want to call me something I guess you could call me a spiritualist. I do believe that we are spirits having a human experience rather than humans having a spiritual experience. I believe that conscious self-awareness is the highest state of being. It is God consciousness, universal consciousness, Divine consciousness. To aspire to reaching that state of being is the point of spiritual development and the very reason why we are here in this life. Union with the All in All is the only thing that will fill the great emptiness we feel inside, and that is why the first commandment given in the Bible is to put God first in your life.
I am not a bible thumper but I do find a lot of Truth in the Bible, particularly in the teachings of Yeshua himself, in spite of all of the obvious literary tampering by the many scribes and translators who have handed the scriptures down to us.
The truth is there to see if you keep an open mind and an open heart about it. I'm not one to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak. Furthermore, I believe that love is the most powerful force in the universe.

I am lack the information to decisively conclude the existence or non-existence of a figure or image with or without supernatural attributes known as god or the God. I do not know if heaven or hell exists as a refuge to be divided between the believers and nonbelievers.
I don’t believe in sin, sure I believe people do bad things, but not necessarily are these things classified as sin. Ironically, the term sin came about after Adam and Eve’s forbidden fruit taste test. I believe scholars who contributed to the Bible included the term sin as the only way god bring relief through forgiveness. Besides forgiveness god is said to create the world in his spare time.
Christianity never worked for me, I just couldn’t maintain the joy and happiness everyone portrayed themselves as the chozen ones.
To begin with I was the oldest son of a Southern Baptist preacher who ironically did not speak of god, salvation or Jesus at home. He was a big shot in most of the communities we lived in but as far as any presence at home he abandoned all parental responsibilities.
It wasn’t the preaching I saw through it, was the persusaivness of church hymns that caused me concern. I do not agree with church hymns essentially telling me I am grateful or I love Jesus, jesus loves, you must pay your debt to be saved, you are shit without Jesus and god, you can never pay the debt you owe to god and Jesus.
First I questioned the validity of faith based godly worship, came to terms that faith is essentially an active imagination; the more you feed the idea the greater commitment you will have toward it. To discount Christianity I had to refute the bible killing two birds with one stone. There are a lot of questions I have about god, the world and humanity, oh year, aliens as well. All in all, it is my lack being or UnBeing that leads to my disatisfaction and desire for the destination.
I say I don’t fear death, perhaps my circumstances are different than most, at any rate I have longed for life as I know it to end since the beginning. I am a responsible citizen, I have not caused too much trouble during my time here, but the day or night will come when breathing will not be a requirement.

It is written in God’s Word, “Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; The fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psalm 127:3). And again it is written in the Psalms, “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.

Have you yet met the Christ? - Many claim they have and equally many claim not? None of this proves he exists or doesn't. But have a look at this Utube presentation. I was very impressed with what I considered "the authenticity" of this mans story and his memory of it all. He was preparing to lay on the icecap and die - he had given up all hope - had tried all avenues of rescue but had given up - and then he met the Christ? this is one story out of hundreds that attest to the same or similar experiences. I'll let you be the judge - but you do need to listen first??

Some years ago, by pure chance I bumped into an old friend whom I hadn't seen for years. In the course of conversation, I asked how his brother was keeping. His reply was along the lines of, don't talk to me about him, he's found Christ and now he preaches at one of these mission churches.
