Does that prompt a memory? When my wife bought the fabric for those trousers there was not much left on the roll, the store owner offered her the offcut for a giveaway price which she gratefully accepted. Back home, with a skillful bit of pattern adjusting, she got two pairs of trousers out of the fabric. Handy, if like me you often miss your mouth when eating and it's always something that is guaranteed to stain. A second pair of trousers, perfect when the stained ones are in the dry cleaners, yet again!
