Question @Horselesscarriage..re: clothing

Well, it's very attractive, horseless carriage, but it does need the pants.
Does that prompt a memory? When my wife bought the fabric for those trousers there was not much left on the roll, the store owner offered her the offcut for a giveaway price which she gratefully accepted. Back home, with a skillful bit of pattern adjusting, she got two pairs of trousers out of the fabric. Handy, if like me you often miss your mouth when eating and it's always something that is guaranteed to stain. A second pair of trousers, perfect when the stained ones are in the dry cleaners, yet again!

Back in time, my wife and I enjoyed going to different shows and functions, one of which was burlesque. I was so reluctant at first, thinking I would be labelled a dirty old man, but to my surprise there were more ladies in the audience than there were fellows. It was more like a stage produced circus, there was strip-tease but as the progam said, it was more tease than sleaze.
Having got into it I needed something to wear, something original, something that a talented wife would think of and then make:

Would you believe, a burlesque shirt. Nowadays we give burlesque a miss, audiences are mixed but you won't see any pensioners.
Click here to see the priceless reaction of one fellow in the audience when, at the end of the show, the ballroom floor was opened up and we stepped out to strut our stuff. It's a link that I have posted previously, one that Holly gave an amusing comment on.

My lady's talent extended to making me a suitable shirt when we went to Big-Band nights with a military re-enactment flare.

This shirt, from a distance, looks like camouflage or camo as it's often known. It's a lot more saucy than that. Look at the images, do you see silhouettes of pin-up girls? The shirt was also very popular when I wore it to burlesque shows.
