Quick question: who is John Galt

Galt, just some fictional character whom people like to reference as the god to some of the 1% groups. Now why'd you have to go bring up Baby Jane, Chills down my spine.

Good for you April. Tell ya a quick story about Victor Buono (Edwin Flagg). He was a grade behind me at St. Brigid's catholic grade school in San Diego. That was 1949 and he was huge even then. He was the brunt of many cruel tricks then. In retrospect he took it very well and it was totally uncalled for. Later, in fact when he was making "Baby Jane", I ran into him in San Diego and he invited me to hollywood to his home. I didn't go but it was a nice gesture on his part. He was gay but never seemed to flaunt it.

I have no clue...

You need to read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand to find where the Galt thing came from and the movie Baby Jane was ahead of your time, but it was a very famous movie with Betty Davis, Joan Crawford and Victor Buono. Is was just a fun question to see what would happen.

Galt is a character in a book/movie a warped philosophy, a movement by some their stance and ideas to help their cause. The fight against am I my brother's keeper sort of theory, a push for stronger capitalist belief system. But of course, there are other interpretations. This is but a small part of mine.

There is a speech this character makes to try to muddle the field and mix the great minds of the people of great philosophical thought and invention with those whom are merely capitalist and religious zealots to scare people into a way of seeing things. You know, the tea-party methods that have been used so often of late.

Oh, you want a sample, why didn't you just ask? Hold onto your innards or your sides, whichever it affects most, maybe both.

I get chills everytime I think of that movies and one of the reason's I don't ever want to be ward to my daughter, I envision me becoming Joan Crawford in such an instance.

Paul Ryan, who was Romeney's choice for VP if you remember, required his staff to read Atlas Shrugged. And Ryan could run for president some day--scary!

Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand, who admired serial killers! Always thought she was a sociopath. Read her in high school, hated her attitude, but my English teacher, that hysterical parvenu, thought she hung the moon. Ewwwwww.
