Quirks. We all have them.

@Gaer said "Shades and hues of color have to interplay with each other.
Can't relate to colors clashing or shapes and form that arn't enjoyable to look at."

Totally agree with that...there are some color combos that are only pleasing to my eye when they occur in Nature--seeing those combos in decor, clothes etc is very discomforting. And there are some shades of some colors are too. Yet periodically those unpleasant colors trend.

I don't know if it'd be considered a quirk or not, but I've never understood why many people enjoy chatting on the phone.
For me, general phone use has been like "Can you come over later?" "Sure, after dinner." "O.k., 'bye!"
This is something that has overtaken me as i've aged. When i was young teens & 20s i could be on phone for hours. Even in my 30's i often had long conversations with friends of relatives who were trying to cope with some difficulty and needed either practical ideas on how to 'fix' something or just a good listener who could lend some emotional support. But the older i get the less i really want to talk with any one more than necessary to make appointments, get/give answers needed for some reason. With the exception of my grandson, who is not much of a talker on the phone.

What Q word is that?
Most first first responders have a thing about saying aloud that it is a quiet or slow night---Murphy's Law kicks right in and all HELL breaks loose.

Of course any parent or frequent caregiver of a child under 3 can also tell you that acknowledging the 'quiet' even if you peaked in and they were playing safely and appropriately is probably unwise--for same reason, the minute you verbalize it's existence it is doomed. ;)

My keys go in my left front pocket, wallet in back right pocket, and phone in right front pocket, before I leave the house. In 54 years of driving, I have never lost a set of car keys. JimB.

That's just common sense!
If it was unusual for people to lose their keys, the War Amps key tags program wouldn't exist in Canada. War Amps return over 100,000 sets of keys each year to Canadians . I strongly support the War Amps, and their Child Amputee program. At my death I will donate $10,000 to the CHAMP program. During the years from childhood to becoming an adult, a child amputee will require up to 8 artificial limbs, which cost as much as $3000 each. War Amps gets NO Government money at all. The Key Return Service is one of the ways that War Amps raises money for their mission to provide artificial limbs to Canadians across our country. If a set of keys is found, and it has a War Amps tag on it, it can be dropped in any mail box, any where in the world, and it will be returned to War Amps office in Ottawa, where the owner will be contacted by phone, and their keys will be delivered to their home address, by next day courier. At times I like to answer a ringing phone with odd responses like good morning when it is evening, good evening when it is morning, greetings earthling then when I get a solicitor and the ask if I am Lawrence, I tell them they have the wrong number, happy Halloween any time of the year, Windsor mental clinic, and so on and so on.

I cannot abide seeing a drawer slightly open, or a door not tightly closed when it should be.
Lights on in an unoccupied room also drive me up a wall.
Oh so this!! I will get up out of bed to take care of it if a drawer is even slightly open on the dresser. I try and talk myself out of it and I JUST CAN’T!! 😖

Also. I hesitate to label myself as OCD. I think I do have OCD traits, but having known a couple of folks who have been clinically diagnosed with actual Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, I feel like it’s making less of the condition to call myself that, when clearly my “quirks” aren’t in the same league as my friends who have struggled with attaining some kind of normalcy in their lives.

Can't think of any because I'm not regimented at all!
Don't need coffee or pills or drink or smokes. Just wild and free!
except:
Shades and hues of color have to interplay with each other.
Can't relate to colors clashing or shapes and form that arn't enjoyable to look at.
and,
I have to create. I couldn't imagine a world where I couldn't write,
or draw, or paint or design or sculpt, or invent.
Guess that's a quirk.
No, that just who you are .

One of my other quirks is that my cars have always had to be immaculate
If you saw my car you'd run screaming down the street. 🙁
