R.I.P. Clawdia she's gone now

Poem For Cats

And God asked the feline spirit

Are you ready to come home?

Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul

And, as a cat, you know I am most able To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.

Soon, replied the whiskered angel

But I must come slowly For my human friends are troubled

For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God That you'll never leave them?

That your souls are intertwined.

For all eternity?

That nothing is created or destroyed?

It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand, Replied the glorious cat

For I will whisper into their hearts That I am always with them I just am....forever and ever and ever. Author Unknown

They never leave us, Rick. I still have great memories of my time with my first cat, Cleo, who was also an incredibly affectionate one-person cat and got me through some early, lonely years. We put her down in the early 2000's, but I have her ashes and many great memories.

I hope your heart heals in time and also wish you all the best in your transition in life. Keep us posted!

Somebody asked an actor once, "What happens when you die"? He replied, "You go home".

Sending thoughts and best wishes to you Rick in your new adventure. Don't forget to write to us and let us know how things are getting along. You have plenty of friends here.

Awww, Clawdia looks like she was a real sweety, I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad she got to live a nice long life.

When you are ready for a new cat, I wonder if you'd enjoy a robot cat like the one below. I read some of the reviews on Amazon and it seems to be a comfort for animal lovers that live in nursing homes and can't have a real cat.
