Never watched the Waltons, or similar but do know his face and for some reason always enjoyed whatever character he played. Maybe he reminded me of someone or he had the kind of face I like. Sad we won't see him as people's 'Dad' any more.

I don't Think so, I know so. Ralph was the father and most episodes revolved around him, and not John Boy. Did you actually watch the show? LOL
