In Stavanger, we visited a large shop that specialised in 'Lindt' chocolates. While they are mostly sold in mixed cartons in the UK, this shop also had all the varieties loose in large trays.

A small part of the store.
I have something sad to tell you Captain.. this week it was revealed that Lindt ( my favourite btw) dark chocolate has 48% lead, and 116% cadmium....

have a look here...

Yet another scare story......

We tested 28 dark chocolate bars for lead and cadmium. To determine the risk posed by the chocolates in CR’s test, we used California's maximum allowable dose level (MADL) for lead (0.5 micrograms) and cadmium (4.1mcg). Shown are the percentages of the MADL supplied in an ounce of each chocolate. Our results indicate which products had comparatively higher levels and are not assessments of whether a product exceeds a legal standard.

Mrs. L loved Ritter sport 'Goldschatz' , but that seems to have disappeared.

Moving away from chocolate yum, yum... it was a pleasant morning - 18 C with a light breeze, so we went for another beach walk..

Tide was out, but surprisingly few people on the beach - mostly dog walkers.
