A few seaside pics...... The towns of Macduff and Banff are on opposite sides of the river Deveron.

A view of Macduff taken from Banff Marina.

In addition to having one of the main shipyards for building and maintaining fishing boats, Macduff has been used as a location in various TV shows.

The Banff Marina. Once a fishing port, but now has mainly leisure craft.

A couple of years ago, part of the harbour wall collapsed. In order to repair it the inner basin had to be drained, so a temporary dam was built across it's entrance. This stranded a number of boats for a couple of years till the repairs were made - and of course, Covid got in the way. The harbour is now exactly as it was before the collapse.

Other villages along the coast have marinas which once served the fishing fleets, but commercial fishing is now mostly confined to larger ports.

Ok, very random, but not often I see a praying mantis so close (this is in the alcove of my front entrance)
Fascinating creatures, @CinnamonSugar. I once knew a couple in Virginia who had a pair of them that lived on a large jade plant in the bay window of their living room. They claimed the mantises did good job of eliminating insect from their home. :)
