I am sorry if I offended anyone.
I am not crazy.
I do try to live my life in an honorable manner.
There are no degrees of honesty, it is like an on off switch
I try to speak clearly concisely and truthfully
I am missing that filter that most people have that mutes and softens their delivery.
Take me or spank me.
These days with bills payable online, I buy only one or two sheets of stamps a year for birthday cards, and I always go for the commemoratives. I really love seeing the new designs. When I can't find a commemorative design I like at my local post office, I'll buy them from the USPS online. Reusing them is a federal offense, so would never be worth it.
You probably didn't have parents who grew up poor during the depression. It has been ingrained in their children. We have to fight the urge daily.![]()
I'm always amused by the fuss the govt. makes over their "Forever" stamps.

My parents grew up in the Depression, at least during their teenage years -- and I think that's why I have so much trouble getting rid of things I don't really need or things that aren't quite right. My mother's voice --"But there's still some GOOD in that" and "You might need that for something." I've become pretty good at squelching the voices, but they are still there.
It was a good topic and rather original. I never bother to look at the postage on the things that come to me in the mail but maybe I will start looking to save a few pennies that could add up...yep.The only reason I asked is that one time I was visiting my uncle and he had received a large manila envelope in the mail with three first-class stamps on it that had not been cancelled. It made me wonder about re-using stamps.
