Our youngest Great Grandchild! I worry about the world we are leaving them. BTW This is Coral and she lives in California. Can you tell by her name that our Grandchildren spend lots of time in Hawaii?

Whata sweet girl and sweet name, Jim.

I know what you mean about the world condition. I'm kinda weird, I know. When I was sixteen, I decided I would never have children. I would think about how much longer could we have drinking water and and about the earth in general, way before environmentalists. I am sorry that I never gave my mom grand children. I truly do feel sorry about that, but I still feel the same. If I spend my old(er) age alone, I accept that.

You won't really be alone, you'll always have us and those who follow.

Concern about the future, and the world our young will inherit is probably something every generation has. However, we now face future problems that those in the past never really had to worry about. Climate Change, Overpopulation, Automation and Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence, are just a few of the things that humanity has not had to wrestle with in past centuries. We have 4 little Great Grandkids, and I have serious concerns about what is likely to happen within their lifetimes. I don't give it much more than another 50 years before things really come to a head....the latter half of this century is going to be a real mess...IMO.

Definitely a little cutie, Jim.

As far as "where the world is going" I seriously doubt most farm and ranch kids, younger and older, even think about those things. As long as there is 4-H and FFA, with county and state fairs to show livestock and horses in, those kids will be fine. When kids from those areas learn to shoot firearms, possibly hunt, take care of livestock/horses, learn to fish and other things that big city kids don't care about, I think those country kids be will fine.

Just go to a county or state fair and watch some young kid get a 1st Place Blue Ribbon. Talking about happy.

Jim she is absolutely Beautiful. Being a Grandmother myself I worry every day about the future that is instore for my Grandchildren. I think anyone who watches the News has the same feelings. It's a crazy world we live in today and I can't imagine what the future holds for all of us.:(:([SUB][SUP]

Such a sweetie Jim. Can’t help but wonder if our grandparents said the same thing about their grand children. But we made it this far. By the way. How is your COPD treating you. Using your inhalers?
I'm living with the COPD Pappy... I have oxygen and use it as required.
